Selling and packing up the house we were planning on living in forever was a roller coaster of emotions. So much fun, love & laughter in the house we dreamed of and built, but knowing we will rebuild again made it a just a tad easier. The last couple of months were filled with lots of great catch ups, no goodbyes just See You Laters. Our last night in Sydney was also our first night in the van, parked in Luke & Jacki’s driveway!
Driving out of Sydney was a really weird experience, quite bittersweet and surreal, especially as the kids had already left, Sean was in the Jeep towing the van & I was in the VW as we decided to park it at Mum & Dad’s farm while we travel. Driving out wasn’t the big exciting moment we imagined, partially because we were exhausted and also because all our neighbours were off on holidays so there was no one to wave us off!
There was one exciting moment when the toggle for the garage door got caught in the spare tyre on the roof & released the garage door onto the Jeep as Sean was driving out. Fortunately no damage which is amazing given the size of the garage door! No fear of that happening again…no more garages for a while.

Looks like things are off to a good start. When does “school” start on he road? It’s started in Sydney……..am sure there are no bomb scares at your school like there have been at Mona Vale – 2 so far this year, bit of a nuisance. Have fun Wanne
Hi Wanne,
All is well here! School is a bit random right now…it’s hard to get in the swing of it but we did hear about bomb scare number 3, Hope they get the guys soon. I’m sure the teachers are doing a great job of keeping things calm, but it can’t be easy for anyone.
Miss you guys, we’re thinking of you in Australia Day!
Love to the girls & Sam xxxx
