The Pinnacles & Perth, WA

With a quick stop to see The Pinnacles we finally arrived in Perth, civilisation at last. After being out of major cities for more than 7 months (Darwin doesn’t really count) we were all buzzed to be back…for at least a week. On arriving we all were feeling and looking pretty shabby, so after a shopping spree to spruce ourselves up a bit and a major chuck out of our “worst” bush clothes, we all looked (and no doubt smelled) a bit fresher and were ready to face civilization, which in our minds was sushi, Vietnamese, Thai, decent coffee and the most exciting of all – fresh produce!!!

We stayed in Fremantle where the highlight for the kids was the skate park and for us was good coffee, great bookshops, wholefoods stores. An easy trip into the city to do the touristy things and check out some of the beaches, although much to Ashton’s disappointment, nothing worthy (or warm enough) for a surf.
